Description:

长乐信都（今河北省冀州市）人，冯安的父亲，冯跋的祖父。自称是毕万的后代，毕万的子孙有在冯乡采邑的，就以冯为氏。311年，永嘉之乱，冯和从信都迁居上党。他儿子冯安做过西燕的将军。西燕灭亡后，举家东徙和龙（今辽宁朝阳）。其孙冯跋建立北燕，追尊冯和为元帝。
