Description:
The Meeting of the Estates General was a meeting by King Louis XVI to address the country’s financial crisis. Representatives from all the estates attended the meeting, which took place in Versailles from May 5 to June 17, 1789. The third estate wanted a population vote,, and the second and first estates wanted a vote from the estates. Ultimately, the second and first estates won the vote,, and the third estate refused to participate in business.
