Description:
Giuseppe Garibaldi was a prominent influence on the unification of Italy. Having unified the southern states, he made a deal with Count Cavour and unified Italy once and for all. He was a prominent military leader and explorer, and used that militaristic prowess to help control the southern states and unite them together. He was considered a romantic republican.
