Austro - Prussia War (jun 14, 1866 – aug 23, 1866)

Description:

Also known as the seven weeks war. Was a war primarily between Austria and Prussia, although both had allies, such as Prussia being allied with Italy. Ended in Prussian victory and led to the creation of the Northern German Confederation. Was caused by Prussia gaining power over the German confederation which Austria didn't like. Austria ended up losing multiple states of the German confederation as well as Venetia when Italy annexed it from Austria.
