The return came in 3 waves1st wave: Led by Zerubbabel and around 50 000 Jews returned to Judea
2nd wave: Led by Ezra, focused on spiritual and religious reformation
3rd wave: Led by Nehemiah, focused on repairing the walls and gates of Jerusalem
The Second temple took 20 years to build and was urged by prophets Haggai and Zechariah
