French occupation of Indochina (sep 1, 1858 – sep 26, 1940)
Description:
France begins to colonize and establish control of a peninsula in Southeast Asia called Indochina. This area contains the countries of Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Myanmar (formerly known as Burma). France will have support colonies in Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
