divided the southern part pf kansas city into 15 areas , five of the "beats "were patrolled as usual,in another group the beats patrol activities and in the third they recived a novel treatment.the program was kept a secret and citizens were unaware of the difference between patrolled and unpatrolled parts of the city.Added to timeline:
