Wolf v. Colorado (jan 1, 1948 – jan 1, 1949)
Description:
This was a landmark case in the United States Apex Court, which sought to answer the legal question of whether the Fourth Amendment was relevant to the states, especially through the Fourteenth Amendment, which granted citizenship to all people, whether by birth or naturalization, including the previously enslaved individuals and granted all citizens equal protection rights under the law.
The court determined that the Fourth Amendment can be applied to states but it is not required to exclude unlawfully acquired evidence.
