Description:
The Korean War started with an invasion from the North, backed up by the Soviets. Then the Soviets failed to show up for a veto in the United Nations, which also leads to this war from happening. This is an example of a proxy war, as the superpowers did not directly get involved but provided support to their respective sides and allies.
