Sviatoslav II (jan 1, 1027 – dec 27, 1076)

4th Son of Yaroslav the Wise. Brother of: Iziaslav I, Vsevolod I,
Father of: 5 Sons
Grandfather of: Iziaslav II
Made Prince of Chernigov in his fathers will. Ruled in Triumvirate with Iziaslav and Vsevolod until 1073. Then he allied with his younger brother Vsevolod to depose their older brother Iziaslav from Kiev. He was successful, and ruled Kiev for 3 years until his death.
During his rule he aligned with the Poles and most of Russia became under his/Kiev's control.
He died in the first documented surgery in Russia, attempting to remove a tumor.
