Description:
Several districts were under Byzantine until 751Northern most (and later most of south) were part of Lombards Kingdom until 774. In 774, those Northern sections joined Francia, then Lothergia, then the Holy Roman Empire. While Southern parts were kept in Lombard control until Byzantine gained them again in 965.
