Description:
The October Crisis happened when the FLQ (Front de liberation du Québec) kidnapped two people, which led the Canadian government to declare martial law and send in the army. The crisis was a big turning point in Quebec separatism and led to stronger security measures. It’s significant because it showed how far some people were willing to go to fight for Quebec’s independence.
