New Flag (1965): (jan 1, 1965 – jan 1, 1965)

Description:

Canada adopted its new flag with a red maple leaf in 1965. Before this, Canada used the Red Ensign, which was closely tied to Britain. The new flag was important because it gave Canada its own identity and symbol of national pride.
