Description:
Engelse natuurkundige, wiskundige, astronoom, natuurfilosoof en theoloog. Hij slaagde erin vele natuurwetten vast te leggen (laws of nature). In zijn hoofdwerk Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica uit 1687 beschreef Newton onder andere de zwaartekracht en de drie wetten van Newton.
