Description:
Cleisthenes reforms refer to the new political system made by the Athenian leader Cleisthene. The reforms were made by creating three distinct legal bodies. The first was a gathering that the decided laws, the second a council of five hundred members elected from new tribes that Cleisthenes established that took care of everyday governance, and the third a people's jury that would decide on the outcome of disputes.
