Lightbulb (oct 1, 1879 – dec 31, 1879)
Description:
The lightbulb was invented by Thomas Edison who was from Milan, Ohio. In October of 1879, Edison and his team produced a light bulb with carbonized filament of uncoated cotton thread that could last for 14.5 hours. They continued to develop their invention which resulted in a new filament made of bamboo and lasted 1,200 hours. On December 31, Edison made the first public demonstration of his invention in Menlo Park, New Jersey.
