James A. Garfield (mar 4, 1881 – jul 2, 1881)
Description:
James Garfield was the 20th President of the United States. He was a professor at Hiram College and became president of the college a year later. He was elected to Ohio Senate in 1859 and was a Major General in the Civil War. Won a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives for nine terms and eventually the U.S. Senate. He was assassinated during his Presidential term on July 2, 1881. His Vice President was Chester Arthur.
