March of the Fishwives (oct 5, 1789 – oct 6, 1789)
Description:
The people were hungry and angry took that out on the royal family. On October 5th a mob of Parisian women and other commoners marched armed to the palace of Versailles in demand for the queen Marie Antoinette. Although the queen did not die that night, the mob did force the King Louis XVI and his family back to Paris.
