4. Monk Copying Biblical text - Eighth Century, the Golden Gospels, Lindisfarne. (jan 1, 700 – jan 1, 800)

Description:

Later, the work of copying the Bible was undertaken in the monasteries in the Middle Ages, several thousand monasteries were built across Europe, and for many of the monks, making copies of the scriptures was their main job. They became the true magnificent Bibles. Tears of Scribes and artists worked with parchment to produce incredibly beatufil works.
