Celts: La Tène (jan 1, 500 BC – jan 1, 1 BC)
Description:
The later phase of the Celtic civilization, succeeding the Hallstatt culture. It marked a time of cultural flourishing, with the Celts expanding their territory across much of Europe. The La Tène people were known for their advanced metalwork, distinctive art styles, and social organization. They built fortified settlements, had skilled warriors, and engaged in long-distance trade. The La Tène culture is considered the peak of Celtic civilization, which eventually declined with the Roman conquest of Gaul and other Celtic lands.
