Second UN Visiting Mission (aug 21, 1952 – sep 25, 1952)
Description:
CUT presented their demands to the visiting mission. The latter, however, received petitions from both sides, and its findings
remained inconclusive.
The mission also considered the Joint Council a valuable institution, despite its failure to function through boycott both by unificationist parties objecting to the systems of representation and election and by the anti-unificationists of Northern British Togoland. p. 44 (para. 402).
