Canada Rebellions. (nov 6, 1837 – jun 4, 1839)
Description:
Cries for self governance in the provinces of Upper and Lower Canada led to a series of armed rebellions in the Canada's.
While largely unsuccessful, these rebellions sparked the creation of the Act of Union in 1840 and therefore the Independence of British North America.
Additionally, the American interference in the conflict would further worsen Anglo-American relations, while improving those of the Canadians.
