Ané (Mina) migrate East (jun 9, 1663 – oct 10, 1690)
Description:
The Ané peoples flee from Asante attacks in Elmina (now in Ghana) and found Aného in the late 17th century. The Ané eventually adopted the Ouatchi Evegbé dialect and are known, together with the nearby Ga, as Mina, a reference to their original home in El Mina. Together, the Ga and Ané number around 90,000 and are found only in the coastal areas, especially in the vicinity of Aného.
