The Invasion of Upper Canada (jul 17, 1812 – dec 19, 1813)

Description:

The Americans under the command of WIlliam Hull invade though the Michigan Territory, however, they are repelled at Brownstown. The British follow the retreating forces to Detroit and capture the settlement.

A few months later in September, the British take Fort Dearborn (OTL Chicago) and win a few strategic victories in the Niagara and Michigan Peninsulas.

American forces captured York, the capital of Upper Canada. They later burned some public buildings. Unfortunately, after losing the battle of Lake Erie and are unable to retake Detroit as a result. After a series of back and forth victories around the city of Buffalo, the Americans retreat from Upper Canada.
