Polish campaign (sep 28, 1914 – dec 10, 1914)
Description:
The Germans, victorious in the East Prussia Campaign, recognized a need to assist the Austro-Hungarians, defeated in the Galicia Campaign. To that purpose they organized and deployed a new Ninth Army on the Austro-Hungarian northern flank, drawing from East Prussia, the Western Front and arriving reservists to do so.
