Description:
The Thirty Year's War began when the Holy Roman Emperor attempted to force his Bohemian subjects to return to Roman Catholicism, and eventually grew to involve France, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, Denmark, Poland, and Russia. The war damaged societies and economies and led to the deaths of one-third of the German pop.
