What could be seen as a minor skirmish in the vast Communion of Systems took place when information overload by a nationalist faction from Tau Ceti claimed that they were the original home system of all human-descended Sophonts, waging a nasty cyberwar between them and the Solar System, particularly Earth. Riots caused by malfunctioning infrastructure targeted during data hacks caused large-scale chaos, which was only ended when Communion forces broke up the fight and placed Sol and Tau Ceti. This disinformation would linger on for hundreds of millennia and later cloud the origin of the Terran Sophonts.Added to timeline:
