Contextualization
Prior to The Era of Good Feelings, The US fought Britain in the war of 1812. Even though the US neither won nor lost the war. People started to feel good about the country and were having a strong sense of nationalism towards the country.
In the war of 1812 The White House was burnt down, still the Americans fought back and were having a sense of American Identity.
In this Era called the "Era of Good Feelings" President Monore was the President at time, people were united throughout the country, still there were some problems between the two political parties (Democratic-Republicans and Whigs), again people were feeling more nationalists, and had a sense of American Identity.
In this Era the people wanted to give an end to Sectionalism as they loved the country. Fought back for it, even against the strongest country in the world at the time.
