Triple Alliance (may 20, 1882 – jan 1, 1915)
Description:
The Triple Alliance was between Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy and was a defensive alliance. It started as an alliance between Germany and Austria-Hungary, initiated by their dislike of Russia. Later Italy joined, with the goal of isolating France after it lost Tunis to them, a region close to Sicily with a large Italian population. Their conflicts with the Triple Entente made the Archdukes assassination lead to a World War, with other countries in alliances joining in.
