The Great Service (jan 1, 39801 – jan 1, 39803)

Description:

- During routine investigation of chaos taint the Praetors of Orpheus are informed of the SotR presence and send a small detachment to investigate. The PoO are shocked to find a fully operational (if damaged) land speeder proteus being used on such a routine mission. After it is established that there is no chaos taint (merely a few rowdy rebels) the Praetors request to see the SotR armoury. After their request is granted, the PoO offer the SotR sanctuary on their homeworld as well as full repairs to all of their (heavily damaged and barely maintained) ancient wargear. The SotR find the request strange, but see no downside and accept. The two share a residence and engage in joint operations for a couple years, however, the SotR leave early, having found the PoO somewhat strange and being rather conflicted about using them in such a way. After this period the two chapters separate on good terms, with several PoO remaining with the SotR to continue the maintenance.
