Nainai passed away when I was just three, so I don’t remember much about her, only the time she held me in a rocking chair. I know now that I shouldn’t take all of my information from one source, but I think this is an appropriate time to just believe. This source is my mother; Nainai was her soul, the provider that she needed in her life. Through my mother’s stories about Nainai’s “services,” I have learned eight things about my grandmother: she was thoughtful, passionate, caring, motherly, charismatic, a great cook, independent, and gentle.
