It all began when GroteSmurfO founded the Inostropian Communist Party (ICP). OhioGlobus5404, a member of the LCSP, quickly found an ally in the new movement. At first, this did not appear to be a major issue, the ICP was a newly formed party with communist ideals and initially cooperated with the LCSP. However, tensions escalated when the party elections began, triggering a large-scale political campaign across Inostropia. InfinityZoom187 supported the ELP and eventually joined it during the crisis. A central point of conflict was the position of the Consul. The ICP and LCSP factions argued for reducing the Consul’s authority and increasing democratic control, while the ELP took a contrasting stance, opposing greater democratization and favoring strong centralized rule. The situation escalated further when OhioGlobus5404 called for a “red coup d’état,” a proposal that gained support from multiple players. Another major debate emerged regarding the Senate’s authority, whether it should govern only state matters or also have control over the server itself. As arguments intensified, the party elections concluded without resolving the crisis. The LCSP, ICP, and FIP briefly considered merging into a single bloc, with the name “The Big T” proposed, but it was quickly rejected. The crisis ultimately deescalated when it became clear that a merger would not provide sufficient political power within the Senate. Infinity intervened in a final meeting, promising to increase the Senate’s influence within the Federation’s political system, while maintaining separation from direct server control. Infinity remained Consul throughout. In the aftermath, GroteSmurfO grew tired of the ongoing conflicts, abandoned communist ideology, and renamed the party to the Inostropian Democratic Party (IDP), shifting its focus toward democratic principles instead.
