Causation: (topic 3.10) The French Revolution, Jay and Pinckney's treaty, Farewell address. (jul 14, 1789 – nov 9, 1799)

Description:

The French Revolution was inspired by the American Revolution, perhaps it has its impacts around the world and even America. Same as Americans, French also wanted to get rid of their king so they did the Revolution.
Causes:
Division between Federalists and Anti-Federalists.
Federalists: believed that they should support Britain and wanted to have trade with Britain.
Anti-Federalists: believed that they should support France because they helped Americans during the American Revolution.
In case of Foreign policy the Government was not sure to take side with France or remain neutral.
The French Revolution inspired the Haiti Revolution.

Jay's Treaty was a treaty between America and Britain. In which they signed a treaty to have more trade with Britain.
Causation:
Ongoing tensions with Britain because they have just been involved in the Revolutionary war.
War which possibly could happen between Britain and the US.

Pinckney Treaty also known as San Lorenzo was a treaty between Spain and the US which established a friendly relationship between them and the US could use the Mississippi river and could expand its territory.
Causation:
American expansion and Spanish concern: now that American could use the Mississippi river the Spanish were concerned about their influence that they could get further west and gain other Spanish territories.

George Washington delivered a special document by the name of Farewell address which published it and on it he mentioned about his concerns and future of the country plus foreign policy and government.
Causation:
International tensions in which George Washington decided to be neutral in case of war between France and Britain that led to tensions.
After two times being selected as president he decided to retire.
