Mercantilism (jan 1, 1660 – jan 1, 1669)

Description:

This was a system developed in Europe first and used in the colonies during the 1660s. It made it so that they could only trade within the colonies and to England and had to keep the goods between the two. Also known as "economic nationalism," it was used becaue it was seen as a way to keep the wealth within England and not in other countries.
