Puritans (jan 1, 1610 – jan 1, 1640)
Description:
Puritans where a religious group that came from Europeans migrating to America to seek more religious freedom. Wanting to escape from the strict Anglican Church and have a more Protestant based religion, Puritans created a less Catholic based religion. It was one of the first signs of religious tolerance and freedom in America.
