Thomas More advises Henry VIII (dec 31, 1525 – nov 3, 1529)
Description:
Thomas More was Cardinal Thomas Wolsey’s successor in being Henry VIII’s chief minister. He guided royal opposition to English Protestantism, and wrote Response to Luther when the king defended the seven sacraments against Luther and Luther responded. He was accused of treason and beheaded after he refused to recognize Henry VIII as the supreme head of the Church of England.
