Description:
The Russian Empire had slowly started encroaching on Persian territories in the Caucasus. Knowing the army was still rusty following the neglect during Mohammad Shah's reign, the Persians went into a temporary alliance with the British and defeated the Russians at Baku and in the Caspian Sea.https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=690270
