Description:
The Omaha Platform was the party program adopted at the formative convention of the Populist Party. This was held in Omaha, Nebraska on July 4, 1892.
The 8 points that were adopted in this platform included: secret ballot, graduated income tax, direct election of senators, nationalizing railways, telephone, and telegraph, limiting presidential terms, and as well initiative & referendum.
