The Nasrid Kingdom of Granada (1238 - 1492) (jan 1, 1238 – jan 1, 1492)
Description:
1238 - 1492 AD: The Emirate of Granada was an Islamic kingdom established in 1238 following the successful Reconquista and the conquest of Córdoba in 1236. The Emirate became a tributary state and was known as the Kingdom of Granada. The Nasrid emirs and kings built most of the Alhambra's palaces. For the next 250 years, Granada was a vassal state of the Christian kingdom of Castile. The Nasrid rulers paid tribute to the Christian kings and cooperated with them in battles against rebellious Muslim leaders under Castilian rule.
