Walter Bendix Schönflies Benjamin (15 July 1892 – 26 September 1940) was a German Jewish philosopher, cultural critic and essayist.
Benjamin explains that every piece of art have a "Aura". He refers this term to the uniqueness of the experience of the artwork, awareness.
Benjamin saws "film" as a benifitial medium for art, because It can make us perceive in ways that are not human, mechanical reproduction changes art. The work comes closer to us, reaching the masses and popularity. Nowdays were using CGI, 3D, ecetera to manipulate film and give it a new touch.
