Description:
1847: David Livingston's Discovery:"The Jews of Angola": David Livingston discovered black Jews living 200 miles from the coast of Luondo in Angola. Livingston believed these black Jews were descendants of the Jews deported from Portugal in the 15th century.
Winwood Reade's Account:
Blacks Claiming Portuguese Descent: Winwood Reade wrote about blacks in Guinea who claimed to be Portuguese.
