The Annexation of Tibet (1950-1951) (jan 1, 1950 – jan 1, 1951)

Description:

The Chinese Communist Party attacked Tibet in 1950 with between 40,000 and 80,000 soldiers. The Chinese party had been planning this attack for awhile, in order to bring Tibet back into China, and it was done when most of the worlds attention was on Korea. After receiving no help from Britain or the US, the Tibetan government seceded to the Chinese.
