Description:
Causes-
1. In Germany depression and unemployment and hard times led to a dramatic increase in votes for Hitler and his party (The Nazi party).
2. Hitler became Gemany’s Chancellor in January 1933.
3. The Nazis became into power.
4. The Treaty of Versailles meant that Germany suffered a lot because of this.
5. Since the Nazi party became the biggest in Germany at the time, he didn’t get elected to office.
6. Hitler created a new German order to exchange the existing democratic system.
7. It then led to himself promising a better life for the Germans.
Effects-
1. Once Hitler became Fuhrer, around 6 million Jewish people died, and there were millions of other deaths.
2. Hitler made the holocaust and attempted to kill all Jewish people in Germany
3. Hitler committed suicide on the 30th of April, in 1995 in his underground bunker, after being tracked by the Soviet Union troops storming Berlin.
4. Hitler immediately set about getting rid of the powers of the states and the existence of non-Nazi political parties and organisations.
5. The great depression brought the German economy to a halt and further split German politics.
6. Hitler and the Nazis began to exploit the crisis and loudly criticized the ruling government. During this tumultuous time, the German Communist Party also began campaigning and called for a revolution.
