Causes-
1. Mussolini and other leaders made plans to march on Rome, hoping to force the King to surrender the government to Mussolini.
2. Fascism is a form of government where only one person is ruling the government such as Mussolini.
3. The Discontent behind the Treaty of Versailles.
4. The efforts put in by the Communists in order to defeat the Nationalists.
5. The activities carried out by the socialists of the nation took a more radical approach to solve problems. The Economic crisis after the World War 1 which left Italy in debt.
Effects-
1. Mussolini wanted to expand the Italian land making it bigger.
2. Mussolini's fascist party created huge changes in Rome such as roads.
3. Mussolini led Italy to win in Libya, Somalia, Ethiopia and Albania.
4. The Fascism democratic system led one-party state being in favour throughout Italy.
5. He invaded Ethiopia in 1935 and then defeated them in 1937.
6. Mussolini had a lot of power, so he expanded the Italian empire to Ethiopia to create the colony of Italian East Africa.
7. In 1938, Mussolini's government made a law that led to discrimination of all Jewish people throughout Italy.
8. At a point, when there were no longer any opposition parties, no free speech was allowed anymore.
9. Mussolini’s rule led to unwanted confinement, imprisonment, low-level physical assaults and economic deprivations.
