The Battle of Berlin (apr 16, 1945 – may 2, 1945)

Description:

The battle of Berlin was one of the last wars in world war 2 and started on the 16th of August 1945 and was fought between German and Soviet forces. The battle resulted in thousands of deaths, estimated 80,000 deaths or missing for the soviet military and for the Germans about 90,000 to 100,000 deaths in addition the soviet military had 280,000 sick or wounded due to the war.

It contributed by ending Hitler and the ending of world war 2 and the death of Hitler on 30th of august and the complete destruction of the Nazi regime. On the 2nd of May the garrison surrendered but there were still ongoing wars on the West, Southwest and northwest but finally on the 8th of May The Germans finally formally surrendered to the Western Allies which led to the battle of Berlin ending.
