Serfdom is Prevalent Across Europe (jan 1, 1400 – jan 1, 1860)
Description:
Serfdom became increasingly rare Western Europe after the Renaissance; but it grew stronger in Central and Eastern Europe, where it had previously been less common. The institution persisted until the mid-19th century -- in the Austria, until the 1781, in Russia until 1861, in Prussia until 1807.
