Description:

- British armies went to go help France --> but now all are stuck because Germany occupies France

- German tanks hold off --> gives British soldiers time to be rescued by civilians on boats

- Chamberlain resigns and Winston Churchill becomes Prime Minister


Battle of Britain begins
- an air battle
- attacks on cities
- the invention of the radar by the British: allowed them to be able to see German planes
- Germany lost 2300 plans, Britain lost 900 plans
- Germany blitz: bombs British cities

By the end of the year, Britain won the battle
