Woodstock (aug 15, 1969 – aug 18, 1969)
Description:
The Woodstock Music Festival, took place in upstate New York and was three days of “peace, love and rock’n’roll”. The idea of it was to make enough money to build a recording studio, but due the vast amount of eager people who showed up, the decided to make it free in fear they wouldn’t be able to control the crowds. So many people showed up that there was traffic backed up 8 miles from the venu. Much of the music performed expressed its opposition to the Vietnam War.
