Black September (sep 16, 1970 – sep 27, 1970)

Description:

Foreign intervention was strong unless King Hussein responded to the Dawson's Field hijackings with action.

King Hussein ordered the Jordanian army to take PLO bases in Jordan. They killed more than 2000 Palestinian fighters in 10 days.

Nasser negotiated a truce for the PLO, but hostilities resumed when he died.

As a result of Black September:
- King Hussein was back in control of Jordan
- the PLO was expelled the next year
- the terrorist group 'Black September' formed
