Description:
In an effort to end World War II, the United States dropped two atomic bombs on Japan. The first bomb hit the city of Hiroshima, killing over 80,000 people. A second bomb was dropped three days later on Nagasaki, killing over 40,000 people. This resulted in Japan's surrender to the United States, ending World War II.
